At last night’s conclusion of the RNC, Ivanka Trump introduced her father, President Donald Trump. During her remarks she said…
“Many of the issues my father has championed are not historically Republican priorities. Yet where Washington chooses sides, our president chooses common sense.
“Where politicians choose party, our president chooses people.”
While Ivanka’s comments were meant to bolster her father’s reelection bid, they also scratched a scab that has been visible to longtime observers of the Washington’s smoke filled rooms.
The inexplicable voting history of Washington’s political class, on both sides of the aisle, should have served as proof to everyone that DC was operating as a Uniparty where corporations, lobbyists and politicians got fat while America’s taxpayers were forced to foot the bill.
One-sided trade deals, one-way tariffs, the incurrence of massive debt to fund corporate welfare, the military industrial complex’s endless foreign wars, omnipotent domestic spying … the list goes on and on. Anything that could be accomplished through legislative initiatives which would enrich multinational corporations was pushed through, enriching the political class and their cronies.
And, the Chamber of Commerce and its president Tom Donohue, have been at the center of it all running a massive lobbying operation that was supported by Republican donors … until today.
(WASHINGTON DC) – The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is poised to endorse nearly two dozen freshmen House Democrats for reelection, triggering a revolt within the right-leaning organization and drawing fierce push-back from the group’s powerful GOP donors.
The decision represents a sharp departure for the traditionally conservative Chamber, which has spent over $100 million backing Republican candidates during the past decade, and it threatens to further complicate the party’s prospects in the November election while driving a split in the business community.
Most Americans are wondering how the Chamber can support a party that promises tax increases and the renewal of burdensome regulations. The answer is easy… they have never been on board with the president’s America First agenda.
Beyond the pesky taxes and regulations will be legislation that, while it may require heavy spending on lobbyists, will return billions more. Collectively, there are trillions of dollars at stake.
The truth, in my humble opinion, is the Chamber of Commerce is not now, nor was it ever a “right wing organization”, nor was it a “republican organization”; it was always a multinational globalist organization structured to support Wall Street and destroy Main Street.
Now understand what Donohue and the CoC’s network of political profiteers heard in October 2016 when Donald Trump delivered this campaign speech… It also explains the Republicans’ sickeningly tepid defense of President Trump through the endless attempted coup…
“Our movement is about replacing a failed and corrupt establishment with a new government, controlled by you, the American people.
“The Washington establishment and the financial and media corporations that fund it exists for only one reason, to protect and enrich itself.
“The establishment has trillions of dollars at stake in this election for those who control the levers of power in Washington.
“And for the global special interests they partner with, these people that don’t have your good in mind, our campaign represents a true existential threat…
