A journalist for Blaze TV, Elijah Schaffer, was briefly banned from both Facebook and Instagram on Friday, according to a tweet he posted.
“Facebook & Instagram have permanently suspended me from their platforms w/out explanation,” said Schaffer. “It was mostly just pictures of my wife, dog and memories of my mom who recently died. But big tech is relentless. Reporting the truth is now illegal. Follow me at http://Blazetv.com/elijah.”
A few hours later, Schaffer was unbanned from both platforms.
BREAKING: Facebook & Instagram have reinstated my accounts after I was permanently suspended today w/out explanation,” said Schaffer. “A huge thanks to the @BlazeTV team for working hard to get my accounts back amidst a very difficult time for our country. BlazeTV backs their reporters 100%”
Schaffer has been covering riots since the summer, including riots in Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Rochester, and DC. He had his life threatened in DC by Antifa, according to BlazeTV.
Schaffer also has a capitol hill press credential and was inside the capital reporting on what was happening.
