MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell is the latest conservative to get sued by Dominion Voting Systems. Dominion slapped Lindell with a $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit asserting that Lindell exploited conspiracy theories that Dominion rigged the 2020 election in order to sell more pillows. Sidney Powell and Rudy Guiliani have each been sued for $1.3 billion by Dominion as well.
“Acting in concert with allies and media outlets that were determined to curry favor with one of their biggest sponsors and to promote a false preconceived narrative about the 2020 election, Lindell launched a defamatory marketing campaign about Dominion that reached millions of people and caused enormous harm to Dominion,” the lawsuit stated.
Lindell had received a cease and desist letter back in January from Dominion. The letter ready, “Despite knowing your implausible attacks against Dominion have no basis in reality, you have participated in the vast and concerted misinformation campaign to slander Dominion … Litigation regarding these issues is imminent.”
Lindell responded with confidence at the time, telling Axios, “I want Dominion to put up their lawsuit because we have 100% evidence that China and other countries used their machines to steal the election.”
Lindell has been the subject of the wrath of the left for some time, as over 15 corporations, including Bed, Bath & Beyond and Dollar General, have dropped MyPillow products. Despite their attempts to cancel him, conservatives have banded together and continued to buy his products.
