Former National Security Advisor General Michael Flynn and former Trump Lawyer Sidney Powell both were banned on Twitter Friday.
“The accounts have been suspended in line with our policy on Coordinated Harmful Activity,” said Twitter in a statement to NBC News. “We’ve been clear that we will take strong enforcement action on behavior that has the potential to lead to offline harm, and given the renewed potential for violence surrounding this type of behavior in the coming days, we will permanently suspend accounts that are solely dedicated to sharing QAnon content.”
Flynn, who recently received a pardon from Trump, was his former National Security Advisor. Flynn previously pleaded guilty to making false statements to the FBI. Earlier this year, the Department of Justice announced plans to drop his charges, but a federal judge kept them in place, which resulted in Trump’s Pardon.
Flynn previously worked as the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency during the Obama administration. He was fired by Obama for criticizing the administration for not going after terrorists hard enough.
Sidney Powell filed many lawsuits attempting to reverse election results in many states. She also was one of Michael Flynn’s defense attorneys.
