Documents obtained by Townhall show Democrat Congresswoman Maxine Waters asked for a police escort to Brooklyn Center, Minnesota where she told rioters to become “more confrontational” if Chauvin was found not guilty.
Waters flew from Dulles International Airport to Minnesota-St. Paul International Airport on Saturday. That night, Waters joined protestors in Brooklyn Center and expressed what she thinks should happen if Chauvin was found not guilty.
“I know this, we’ve got to stay in the streets,” said Waters. “We are looking for a guilty verdict.” Waters also stated that a lesser manslaughter conviction would not satisfy her.
“If nothing does not happen then we have to not only stay in the streets but we have to fight for justice,” continued Waters. “I am very hopeful and I hope that we are going to get a verdict that is guilty, guilty, guilty and if we don’t, we cannot go away.”
“We’ve got to stay on the street and we’ve got to get more active, we’ve got to get more confrontational,” said Waters. “We’ve got to make sure that they know that we mean business.”
