Antifa rioters in Portland attempted to set the Multnomah County Justice Center on fire and broke into several businesses on the anniversary of George Floyd‘s killing by police.
Footage gathered from on-the-ground journalists show a large group of Antifa dressed in their signature clothing, black bloc, roaming the streets, causing destruction and mayhem.
Early on in the riot, Antifa was chanting phrases that encouraged the killing of police officers.
The rioters attempted to set the building on fire by placing a burning dumpster under the building. Riot police pushed the crowd back and managed to extinguish the fire.
Antifa also launched fireworks at police officers.
Later on in the protest, Antifa vandalized Portland City Hall by breaking windows and spray-painting graffiti.
Antifa also used black smoke bombs in an attempt to conceal the group’s destruction.
Antifa then smashed up several businesses in the area.
Antifa smashed a window of a Starbucks and an individual filmed themselves throwing a firework into the building.
Antifa vandalized an additional Starbucks location.
Antifa smashed the windows of a Ruth Chris Steakhouse while employees were still inside.
The violent mob spray-painted “Kill Ted,” referring to Portland’s Mayor Ted Wheeler.
