Twitter took down Students for Trump, citing “error”

According to the Washington Times, the suspension of the Students for Trump Twitter account was an “error” according to Twitter.

The account was initially locked for 12 hours according to Students for Trump, which then turned into a 7 day suspension.

“We use a combination of technology and human review to surface harmful content proactively on the service,” a Twitter spokesperson said in a statement. “In this case, the account you referenced was flagged by our automated systems in error. This has been reversed, and access to the account has been reinstated.”

Ryan Fournier, the founder and co-chairman tweeted earlier that the account was taken down with “No violations. No warnings. Nothing.”

Twitter has taken a hard-lined approach to suspending users from the platform in recent days following the suspension of President Trump. Many users, including Ryan Fournier, have lost thousands of followers in the process.
