Former President Donald J. Trump capped off CPAC 2021 as the conference’s final speaker. Trump kicked off the highly anticipated speech by blasting President Joe Biden, saying his first month was “the most disastrous” out of “any president in history.”
“We have gone from America first to America last,” Trump said.
During his speech, Trump pitched the idea of beating the Democrats for the third time, suggesting that he may consider running for President again in 2024.
“Who knows, I may even decide to beat them [the Democrats] for a third time,” Trump said.
The CPAC crowd erupted in cheers at the idea of another four years of a Trump presidency.
Trump’s speech focused on attacking Biden’s first month, while contrasting the GOP’s policies.
“It’s [the Republican party] becoming the party of love,” Trump said. “You have to see outside the streets. I mean there’s such love.”
Trump concluded the speech fueling more speculation to the idea that he will run in 2024, saying “a Republican president will make a triumphant return to the White House.”
